We’re back in Wales and filming with Richard Parks for the new series of Extreme Wales
This week the tribe is in Wales, filming in the beautiful city of St Davids. Richard is learning about the relatively recent sport of coasteering, allowing him to see his beloved country from an entirely new perspective.
We’re lucky enough to be joined once more by Rob Taylor, our DOP/Action man; people often don’t realise how physically demanding it is to film an entire day of an adventure series such as this. Luckily Rob is in great shape, and is able to keep up with Richard through his most intense moments.
Although most of the team were on location for last years series, this year still throws up many new challenges to be overcome. The first episode of the series is shot almost entirely in, or on water, meaning all the kit needs to be waterproofed and a keen eye needs to be kept on everything. As well as this the dry space for cards and batteries will be limited, an issue the crew will hopefully resolve with the help of our adventure guides Jet and Rhideon.
Despite the challenges this promises to be a fun shoot, if the first day is anything to go by!
