P&O Britannia, travelling across the Atlantic Ocean

This week Dale is taking to the high seas, she’s delivering a lecture aboard the P&O Britannia. She’s talking about her time on Human Planet and the education executive producing such a large scale documentary series can provide even for someone with the wealth of experience Dale has.

Taking a break from her guest speaking Dale Templar with Jessie Anderson from One Tribe TV join  “Walk Like a Man” – the fabulous Four Seasons tribute band on P&O’s flagship Britannia for dinner.  Oh What a Night! Late October Back in 2017

Filming with the Bomb Squad

By Uncategorised

Screen Shot 2017-10-13 at 15.22.09

Our film crew were out yesterday with the Bomb Disposal trainees on the Marlborough barracks as they underwent the final stages of their assessment before being able to put their life saving skills to the test in the real world.

It was a great day shooting, even the weather was kind! Our small and efficient crew were able to film from start to finish without causing any disruption to the events of the day; meaning they captured the reality and intensity of training for this elite section of the forces.

This shoot was also a first for our newest recruit Cameron, he was charged with organising GoPro footage throughout the day, needless to say he did a great job… Under Jonathon’s watchful eye.

Although we didn’t come away with an award we had a brilliant night at the BAFTA Cymru awards.

A huge well done to our Extreme Wales team, earlier this year we found that our series Extreme Wales had been nominated for the Welsh BAFTAs in two categories! This was a monumental moment for our team, to have worked so hard on a brand new series and to have that hard work recognised is a huge honour. We were up against some amazing talent, and although we didn’t win anything it was really gratifying to be in the running with some of the brightest sparks in Wales.

Needless to say we have thrown our hat in to the race for next years BAFTAs as we’ve come back bigger and better for series two we feel confident we’ll come away with more than just happy memories next year.

See you in 2018 BAFTA Cymru!

Is it a bird? Is it a plane?! NO, it’s Richard Parks!

The final episode of this years series of Extreme Wales airs tonight, join Richard as he takes on his latest challenge flying from one end of Wales to the other!

As this years series of Extreme Wales is now at a close we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in the production process this year.

Richard Parks, our amazing presenter

BAFTA post

We’re delighted to announce that the first series of Extreme Wales has been nominated for two Welsh BAFTA’s. We’ve got a nomination for best presenter and a nomination for best cinematography. We’re really proud of the show, and immensely proud to be amongst such highly regarded company in our categories.

We may have only been nominated so far, but the excitement in the office is palpable. As our first nomination was announced Jessie screamed so loud she missed our second nomination entirely, it wasn’t until later that we found out we’d been nominated in two different categories. Imagine how she’ll react if we win!

Extreme Wales Episode Two

By Uncategorised

The latest episode of Extreme Wales sees Richard cycling across the Welsh countryside, and meeting a wide selection of Welsh nationals along the way. The scale of this episode presents the biggest issue, the sheer distance covered is a hazard in itself, let alone the terrain and weather.

Whenever filming on locations such as this communication is key, unfortunately the mobile coverage in rural Wales leaves a lot to be desired. We’re lucky enough to be joined again by local Raynet enthusiasts using their state of the art equipment to keep comms running smoothly.

It’s also the maiden voyage of the Moke bike, it’s really thrown in at the deep end as we put it through it’s paces on some less than friendly routes stretching from forests to, beaches and even a mountain! The bike was a real life saver, and allowed us to get some fantastic shots that we wouldn’t have been able to get otherwise.

Filming Extreme Wales Episode 3

By Uncategorised

In an unexpected twist to our schedule we’re filming our next episode of Extreme Wales ahead of the planned date. It’s all down to the weather, we’re following Richard as he learns to Paramotor, a sport that can only take place in very specific conditions. The weather looked perfect this week to get Richard fully up to speed with all things paramotoring, so we managed to get our team to this training centre in Skenfrith and begin filming the training.

Richard will have to master the parachute first and then move on to the motor itself, the learning curve will be steep but we’re sure he can get through the intensive course intact. He’s starting by jumping down a giant hill, so we’ll sit with our fingers crossed.
