Filming Civilisations

By | Uncategorised | No Comments

We’re out filming for Civilisations this week, we’ve already been to Bristol’s M-Shed and St Mary’s in Henbury. Today we were in a very wet Stroud, we’ve got our new jib out; and thanks to the very talented Jay Carter-Coles, Lewis Garrard and Jonathon Aiken the shots look fantastic.

Miles met with Anne Mactintosh of the Stroud Preservation Trust to talk about the abolition of the slave trade, and showed him the wonderful abolition arch on the corner of Paganhill Estate.

The weather was not on our side all day, but our spirits were not dampened (although everything else was) everyone did a great job and kept each other going. We’re looking forward to getting out there again and making the last parts of the documentary.

Miles Chambers

Civilisations is in full swing now and we’ve confirmed our presenter. We’re delighted to announce the brilliant Miles Chambers, poet laureate for Bristol, will be presenting our episode of Civilisations. His interest in the subject matter, as well as personal connection to the stories we’re investigating should make this a really compelling piece of TV.
