One Tribe TV is a television and radio production company with offices in Bath and Cardiff. It is run by two award-winning programme makers: managing director and executive producer, Dale Templar, and creative director, Owen Gay, who ensure we provide a hands-on and highly personal service to all our clients.
In addition to our core team, One Tribe has the flexibility to build bespoke production teams to match the needs of the broadcaster and the production.
Dale and Owen were both senior producers at the BBC for more than 20 years and have also worked for a range of top independent production companies including Betty, Icon Films, Nutopia and Boundless.
Dale Templar (Human Planet, Bear Grylls: Mission Survive) is probably the country’s most experienced producer of expedition, adventure and remote foreign filming for documentary, popular factual and factual entertainment programmes. She is also known for producing first-class specialist factual content, particularly natural history and science series. She’s used to running large teams and complex multi-camera set-ups.
Owen Gay has hundreds of hours of popular and specialist factual shows and series under his belt including many high volume, fast turn-around popular factual series for both the UK and American broadcasters. He is a hands-on creative who works in detail on every stage of a production. Before leaving the BBC he was a creative director in popular factual and became the commissioning editor for The One Show, then was head of popular factual at Icon Films in Bristol.
Together, the One Tribe TV senior management team has worked with some of the most famous names in British television, making prime-time factual programmes for BBC 1, BBC 2, BBC 4, ITV, Channel 4, Five, Sky and international broadcasters including Netflix, Nat Geo, Animal Planet, Discovery and China's CCTV and TenCent.
