Benjamin McToy is a Scottish composer specialising in music for film and television. His work has featured across productions for the BBC, ITV, Sky Arts, Discovery and TG4, with performances by the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

As Composer in Residence at One Tribe TV, Benjamin has scored a wide range of factual and documentary productions, including A Kingdom in Chaos (ZDF/Arte), The Berg (ZDF/CBC), A Place Called Welcome and Ash Dykes' Yellow River Adventure (Insight TV/CMG). His work has received consecutive RTS Scotland Award nominations for Original Music: in 2025 for The Emerald Isles (BBC2/TG4)  and in 2026 for Uncharted Amazon with Ash Dykes, with his score to In the Footsteps of Marco Polo (CGTN/Blue Ant Media)a finalist soundtrack at the Apollo Global Music Awards 2025. He also composed the theme music for the BBC One daytime series Shift the Thrift.

Benjamin studied composition in both New York and Aberdeen and now lives in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
