Civilisation Stories: The Remains of Slavery accompanies the highly-anticipated landmark BBC Arts series Civilisations.

 

The BBC documentary, originally on BBC One West, is presented by Bristol's first poet Laureate, Miles Chambers, where he tells the story of the slave trade in the West examining artefacts from museums and galleries whilst visiting key locations across the region. He meets curators, experts and academics, and poses the question; should these controversial objects still be on display?
