Farah Durrani is currently developing drama script. She is an award-winning producer/director and former BBC Television executive producer. Her films have won the Royal Television Society awards and Grierson awards for the best documentary. In 1998 she was named Sky Journalist of Year for Women in Film and Television and in 1999 she was awarded the Multicultural Media Academy journalist award.

 

Farah has worked across the world making films for international broadcasters. Her documentaries include ‘The New Al Qaeda: Frontline Pakistan’, ‘New York Witness – One Day of Terror’ (BAFTA nominated), a landmark mini-series on the Roman Catholic Church, ‘Absolute Truth’. Her films ‘Inside Chechnya’ and ‘The Red Mosque’ were both nominated for Emmys.
