Daf Matheson

Researcher

A One Tribe Welshman, Daf first joined in 2020 as a technical assistant and is now working as a researcher. He studied Radio Production and Broadcasting at the University of Gloucestershire and was awarded both ’Sports Personality of the Year’ and 'Student of the Year’. His love for television was first sparked when presenting his own documentary about cystic fibrosis, ‘A Life With Less’. As well as television, Daf loves working on One Tribe’s radio content and podcasts.

Daf is a media handyman, having worked as a technical assistant, a sound recordist, a radio/podcast editor, a second camera op, a researcher and even jumped in-front of the camera in a reconstruction for One Tribe's BBC Wales Sport documentary Norton's Coin: The Horse that Defied the Odds.

Previous work includes: The One Show, Wonders of the Celtic Deep, Keeping up With Britain’s Biggest Families, Johnnie’s Blade Camp, Rip Off Britain and Legends of Welsh Sport.

Outside of television and radio, Daf loves sport and adventure. If he’s not playing American football, football or roundnet, he is most likely chilling in the middle of nowhere in his VW Van.
