Huw James

Huw James is an accomplished presenter, public speaker, science communicator, educator adventurer and film-maker. He makes science and adventure exciting and accessible for audiences of all ages.

Huw was born and still lives in Wales. He graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Astronomy and Space Science and quickly went on to work as a science presenter at Techniquest Science Centre and Cardiff University. He then started organising the science centre’s outreach programme and started travelling abroad working with partners on science exhibits. At Cardiff University Huw’s career developed from public speaking, to film-making, show writing and communicating science.

Huw now runs a range of projects from the ‘All Around You Roadshow’ for Robert Bosch GmbH to the 2012 Olympic endorsed ‘In the Zone’ feature tour for the Welcome Trust. Huw has presented hundreds of fascinating talks and live science shows to audiences all around the world, focusing on his two passions science and adventure. He holds a distinction in public speaking from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Huw has also presented for YouTube for many years and on TV with shows like SportsLab and Kix TV. He is regularly used as a science expert on radio shows for the BBC and commercial stations. He has also presented a mini-series on Welsh adventurers.
