Vegan Expert - Entrepreneur - Pro Athlete

Lisa Gawthorne is the co-owner and joint Managing Director of Bravura Foods, author of the vegan health and fitness book ‘Gone in 60 Minutes’, and is a successful vegan athlete. She was recently named by The Grocer in their Plant Power list as being one of the 10 most influential people in the UK shaping the plant based market. She was also named by The Telegraph as one of the UK’s top 50 ambitious business leaders in association with LDC. In June Lisa was also awarded the Henry Cook ward from the Health Food Institute for her inspiring support of vegan principles in business and in sport.


Lisa launched the vegan food company Bravura Foods in 2011 which distributes and manufacturers a selection of well-known plant based brands. In just eight years, Bravura Foods is now the leading vegan distributor on the market. Its brands are found in more than 4,000 stores in the UK including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Morrison’s, Asda, Wholefoods, TKMaxx and Holland & Barrett. Lisa is a proud advocate of veganism in today’s society. She is a passionate commentator on the role of women in business and has recently completed the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 small business course.

Lisa is the author of the vegan health and fitness book ‘Gone in 60 Minutes’ – a bite-sized health and fitness publication that can be read in just 60 minutes. Lisa is asked regularly to contribute to various journals, magazines and papers including Women’s Running, Women’s Fitness, Natural Lifestyle, Health and Fitness, Huffington Post, Daily Mirror, Runners World, and Veganuary. She has recently been involved in podcasts with Viva! Radio and Vegan Business Talk. Lisa has also appeared on BBC Global News and Sky News talking about the vegan market and Bravura Foods. Lisa has also talked on a panel at Retail Week this year and was a key speaker at the Natural and Organic Products show.
