She wrote and presented the BBC World / BBC 2 Scotland “ Iranian Enough?” – a 50-minute documentary in which Roxana explored her identity as a British-Iranian, and found out how to teach her children about a country they have never visited. From a tower block in Glasgow, to the glamour of Los Angeles – home to the largest group of Iranians living abroad – she discovered how other Iranian migrants keep their culture alive. While some of the questions she raised remain specific to the Iranian diaspora, this film speaks to broader issues of identity faced by immigrants the world over.

Roxana was co-director and story producer for MTV World Rebel Music Iran “ The Music Never Stopped” a TV documentary about Iranian musicians in exile. Filmed in Turkey and USA.

In 2012 she was Director/Producer of Poets of Protest, a six part TV series for Al Jazeera English, executive produced by The Scottish Documentary Institute. Poets of Protest reflected the poet’s view of the change sweeping the Middle East through its intimate profiles of six contemporary writers.

Her film Hopscotch – based on a poem documenting first-hand harassment and sexual violence against BAME women in Scotland, funded by the Scottish Government, AMINA and Rape Crisis Edinburgh was selected for screening at Women of The Lens Festival London 2017.
